Dropping off some donations to a school in Flagler
The beginning of a new school year is a time of excitement, anticipation, and preparation. Students return to classrooms, teachers gear up for a fresh semester, and the halls of the school are once again filled with the bustling energy of learning. As part of our commitment to the community, SERVPRO had the privilege of participating in this year's back-to-school week, bringing not only supplies but also a sense of support and unity to the educational environment.
Being part of the back-to-school week and contributing to the school's efforts was a rewarding experience for the entire SERVPRO team. We witnessed firsthand the impact that a united community can have on education and the well-being of its members. As we reflect on this experience, we're reminded that even small gestures can have a profound effect on the lives of others.
For SERVPRO, community engagement is not just a responsibility; it's a cherished opportunity to connect with the people who make our neighborhoods vibrant and dynamic. Back-to-school week presented the perfect occasion to rekindle our relationship with the local school and contribute in a meaningful way.
As the back-to-school season approached, our team eagerly collaborated to create a plan that would both benefit the school and align with SERVPRO's core values. We recognized that while the school year is a time of excitement, it can also bring financial challenges for some families. With this in mind, we decided to provide donations that would alleviate some of the burden for both students and educators.
As the school year progresses, we plan to continue our engagement with the school community. Our commitment to support education and foster a strong sense of togetherness remains unwavering. After all, the success of a community depends on the collaborative efforts of its members.
SERVPRO of Flagler County Gives Back to the New Smyrna Beach Community

On Saturday SERVPRO of Flagler County participated in the city of New Smyrna Beach’s Community Outreach Giveaway at Pettis Park.
On Saturday, April 29, SERVPRO of Flagler County participated in the city of New Smyrna Beach’s Community Outreach Giveaway at Pettis Park for those who are still displaced from last year’s catastrophic hurricanes Ian and Nicole.
The event which began at noon and lasted until around 4 p.m., was in the city’s historic west side. Sponsored by the City of New Smyrna Beach, as well as numerous local religious affiliates and commercial businesses, the event gave away free food, clothing, and door prizes, as well as providing plenty of activities for all ages.
Volunteers from SERVPRO of Flagler County contributed to the event by raffling off four major door prizes, one specifically for the overall event, and the other three as part of their hurricane preparedness/continuing education initiative. These prizes included a solar-powered radio with an additional phone charger, and two emergency preparation backpacks (one for an adult, the other for a child) filled to the brim with items necessary for the health and safety of individuals during catastrophic storms.
These items were also carefully selected in conjunction with the city to provide continuing education for community members in anticipation of the upcoming hurricane season. Other continuing education materials provided to the public included SERVPRO’s Home Emergency Kits, which contain individually filled booklets stored together in a waterproof, plastic zipped folder to be stored in an easily accessible spot in case of emergencies. Volunteers also gave away plenty of other SERVPRO pens, notebooks, and other swag to community members who visited their tent.
The overall participation in the event was part of SERVPRO’s continuing education efforts. By playing a role in the community by providing the tools necessary to get through catastrophic events, SERVPRO is there every step of the way, helping people take back control of their lives.

We are looking forward to continue to build relationships within the Flagler Community!
We had an absolute blast at our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with the South Daytona Port Orange Chamber of Commerce! We wanted to bring to light having a new owner and some new smiling faces in management! David Shirazyan, the owner of the Greater St. Augustine/ St. Augustine Beach and South Fleming Island/ North Bradford County, transitioned to our Flagler County and New Smyrna Beach-Titusville locations. David opened the SERVPRO of Greater St. Augustine location back in 2015 and SERVPRO has naturally grown into new territories. Our team brings in decades of restoration and reconstruction experience! Check out our employee website to meet some of our team!
SERVPRO of Flagler County is so excited to be a part of this welcoming community and to get to know our local businesses! Thank you to everyone for taking the time to see our facility and to meet some of our team. It was so nice to meet everyone and to learn about your businesses as well! SERVPRO Networks with Palm Coast Builders and Associates!

Our Marketing Team loves being involved in the Flagler County community! The Flagler Home Builders Association has great networking events!
Our SERVPRO of Flagler County marketing team attended the Meet the Builders event held by the Flagler Home Builders Association event last night. It was such a great opportunity to network with Palm Coast builders and share SERVPROs restoration and post-construction cleaning services! We really wanted to emphasize that other than emergency restoration services, we also have carpet cleaning, air duct cleaning, odor removal, and sewage & biohazard clean-up. SERVPRO can help remove the smell of cigarette smoke, the smell of fire from a house fire or electrical fire, or the musty smell from water damage. The Flagler County builders know that sometimes floods from a pipe burst or water damage from leaky roofs can happen. Although we do hope it does not happen, it seems to occur at the worst time. That is also why we explained that SERVPRO is open 24 hours a day for all 365 days a year!
SERVPRO of Flagler County also met with other associates such as AtticMan who is an insulation contractor, Smart Guard Shutters who has all of your hurricane protection needs, and Gorman Company who has plumbing, pool, and septic supplies. We learned a lot about their services that can truly help with storm season upon us. Networking with others in the Flagler community is essential for small business owners alike. Although SERVPRO is a one-stop-shop, we do use vendors when needed and enjoy using businesses from our community! Flagler Home Builders Association has really given us numerous opportunities to connect with others and expand our knowledge about government affairs. We are looking forward to attending future events and networking with the Flagler County Builders and associates!

Last week our marketing team had the opportunity to participate in a Golf Tournament with the Flagler Home Builders Association. The FHBA is a not-for-profit trade organization consisting of a group of professional individuals and firms who care about our community. Its mission is to use its strength and resources to achieve a positive business, community, and association environment which enhances the overall success of the building industry, the community at large, and each member. The strong affiliation with the Florida Home Builders Association provides an essential network for the exchange of information and ideas, as well as, serves as a resource to local consumers. They provide an online directory of the members and licensed contractors and provide information about the importance of licensed contractors.
The Bob Devore Classic is held annually in honor of Bob Devore, Bob was a licensed builder, past president, founder, and lifetime director of the Flagler - Palm Coast Home Builders Association. He was very active in the community as president and member of the Sunrise. Bob was a family man who enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, and the Gators. With this year's event falling on Friday the 13th, the tournament was held as a themed event with spooky cocktails, costumes, and photobooths.
This year, SERVPRO of Flagler County-sponsored "Bloody Mary's Bar" and had a drink station on the first hole where we served "Blood Transfusions" to all the golfers, provided them with snacks, and the chance to win a free carpet cleaning for up to 3 rooms and a hallway. We had such a blast serving up cold drinks to the golfers, networking with local businesses, and letting them know that SERVPRO is here to help 24/7/365. We can't wait for the next event!
Busiest Time of the Year

The kids are all going back to school and college and fall sports are in full swing again. Soon Halloween will be upon us along with Thanksgiving and Christmas following shortly behind.
Is your business feeling a bit neglected cleaning wise? Maybe the floors are as clean and nice as you would like them to be or maybe the vents are looking a little dusty, and lets be honest, that is not how you want to look to customers and clients!
Luckily for you we handle both of those things! We do carpet and tile cleanings as well as duct cleaning to help get and keep your business looking in tip top shape.
Lastly we also do COVID cleanings because they also happen to be on the rise with all of the events and less strict regulations happening.
Give us a call today to get scheduled for any of the above cleanings you may need to have taken care of today!
We can't wait to hear from you!
COVID-19 Measures: What you can do
3/27/2020 (Permalink)
While SERVPRO in Flagler County remains open and available to our community during the COVID-19 pandemic, we also wanted to share reminders of how to take care of yourself and loved ones during this time.
This information is also available on the CDC website.
Clean your hands often
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Clean and disinfect
Clean AND disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks.
If surfaces are dirty, clean them: Use detergent or soap and water prior to disinfection.
(A complete disinfection guide is available on the CDC website.)
Avoid close contact - Practice social / physical distancing
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Put distance between yourself and other people if COVID-19 is spreading in your community. This is especially important for people who are at higher risk of getting very sick.
At this time of posting, it is recommended to stay in groups of 10 or less and physically distance yourself by at least 6 feet from others when in public.
Please remember that by following these measures, you are helping keep not only yourself, but many others in our community safe.
SERVPRO is the number one choice in cleanup and restoration, and we want you to be able to take advantage of any necessary services as it relates to COVID-19. Refer to our previous posts for additional information. Please be in touch with our team to get more information.

National Preparedness Month is time to "Take Action to Prepare??
SERVPRO of Flagler County and the National Preparedness Community is where you can connect and collaborate on emergency preparedness. Use us to empower yourself to prepare and to coordinate preparedness activities with your family, neighbors, co-workers, and those with whom you may study or worship. We contribute what we can about what we know; ask for what we need; keep doing what is working; communicate about what is not working, and when possible, offer suggestions towards solutions. When we are connected and collaborate, we are more effective and efficient at educating and empowering ourselves to prepare for disasters and emergencies.
The Ready Campaign established four universal building blocks of emergency preparedness: Be informed, Make a Plan, Build a Kit, and Get Involved. America’s PrepareAthon! builds on this foundation by encouraging millions of Americans to focus on a simple, specific activity that will increase preparedness.
America’s PrepareAthon! a new national community-based campaign for action that focuses on increasing emergency preparedness through hazard-specific drills, group discussions and exercises. National PrepareAthon! Days are held every spring and fall. During National Preparedness Month we ask you, your family, community and workplace to take action by planning a National PrepareAthon! Day on or around September 30th. We recommend using digital media tools as a way to promote National Preparedness Month, September 1st-30th.
The 2014 National Preparedness Month theme is: “Be Disaster Aware, Take Action to Prepare”
If you are in Palm Coast, Flagler Beach, Hammock Dunes, Beverly Beach, Bunnell, Marineland, Hammock, Hammock Beach, and surrounding areas and are in need of information on Disaster Assistance, please call us at (386) 447-2202 or see http://www.fema.gov/news-release/2013/08/28/september-national-preparedness-month for help.
