Last week our marketing team had the opportunity to participate in a Golf Tournament with the Flagler Home Builders Association. The FHBA is a not-for-profit trade organization consisting of a group of professional individuals and firms who care about our community. Its mission is to use its strength and resources to achieve a positive business, community, and association environment which enhances the overall success of the building industry, the community at large, and each member. The strong affiliation with the Florida Home Builders Association provides an essential network for the exchange of information and ideas, as well as, serves as a resource to local consumers. They provide an online directory of the members and licensed contractors and provide information about the importance of licensed contractors.
The Bob Devore Classic is held annually in honor of Bob Devore, Bob was a licensed builder, past president, founder, and lifetime director of the Flagler - Palm Coast Home Builders Association. He was very active in the community as president and member of the Sunrise. Bob was a family man who enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, and the Gators. With this year's event falling on Friday the 13th, the tournament was held as a themed event with spooky cocktails, costumes, and photobooths.
This year, SERVPRO of Flagler County-sponsored "Bloody Mary's Bar" and had a drink station on the first hole where we served "Blood Transfusions" to all the golfers, provided them with snacks, and the chance to win a free carpet cleaning for up to 3 rooms and a hallway. We had such a blast serving up cold drinks to the golfers, networking with local businesses, and letting them know that SERVPRO is here to help 24/7/365. We can't wait for the next event!
