What is that spot?

In the heat of the summer you may notice some brown or discolored areas on your ceiling. While this is not a huge problem to start out, it may become a larger problem later. 

There are several things that could be causing this staining and discoloring. The range of things could be a hole in the roof, leaking A/C ducts or even a wild animal has found its way into your home and is leaving behind something for you to find later. 

All of the listed items are things that need to be taken care of sooner rather than later. A hole in the roof could lead to structural issues in not taken care of. Leaking air ducts could mean that your home is feeling warmer and your AC unit is working harder than it should because it is also trying to cool down your extremely hot attic on top of your home. Finally a wild animal could be using your attic or roof as a shelter and also leaving behind unsightly things such as urine or feces. They could also be making a home and mating in your attic.
