Mold Damage – Ormond Beach House
The mold damage on this wall at a home in Ormond Beach was caused by a leaking pipe inside the wall that had been concealed by a large wardrobe cabinet and affected about 120 square feet of wall. It wasn't until the homeowner detected a musty odor that the mold was discovered. To facilitate the remediation of the mold on the wall and on a small area of the floor, a portion of the drywall and the floor rail had to be removed. In this case, there was mold on the wall studs and the floor sill plate as well. After a containment was constructed the studs and sill plate had to be sanded to a depth of about 1/8". A small portion of the flooring in the affected area also required light sanding and refinishing. New drywall, paint and new base molding are all it took for SERVPRO of Flagler County to make it "Like it never even happened".
